ICAO Annex 14, Volume II, contains Standards and Recommended Practices (specifications) that prescribe the physical characteristics and obstacle limitation surfaces to be provided for, along with certain facilities and technical services normally provided at heliports. Additional guidance, aligned to the provisions of ICAO, is available through ICAO's Heliport Manual (Doc 9261) and the relevant Aerodrome Design Manual (Doc 9157), Airport Planning Manual (Doc 9184), Airport Services Manual (Doc 9137) respectively.

Airport ACE long term experience of planning and design, construction, commissioning and final approval, inspection, licensing and operational use of heliports on all terrains sets the standards for an excellence in the field and the quality assurance level to any prospective customer either a State CAA or the private sector..

  • Planning and design of heliports, either surface or elevated, according to the provisions of ICAO, Annex 14, Part II
