Merkourios Vaslamatzis is an Airfield Engineer with more than 27 years of field experience in the planning and design, supervising, constructing,
commissioning, inspecting and handover of airport infrastructure projects. Most of this period he was employed by the Hellenic Air Force as an Airfield Engineer Officer. His core strength is the efficient management of project teams and integrating airport management with multiple technical disciplines on a variety of airport infrastructure projects.
Among his key achievements, while with the Air Force as project manager of "Rapid Battle Damage Airport Restoration Project", he managed the planning, design, development and implementation of the project and achieved the certification of the project by NATO authorities after a successful field evaluation. Mr. Vaslamatzis holds a Diploma Degree in airfield engineering from the Hellenic Air Force Academy. For the last five years he was occupied by several construction companies as project manager for a number of major infrastructure projects.
